Heat Recovery Ventilation
Heat Recovery Ventilation is an energy recovery ventilation system which involves employing a counter-flow heat exchanger between the inbound and outbound air flow. Heat Recovery Ventilation provides fresh air and improved climate control, while also saving energy by reducing heating (and cooling) requirements.
As buildings become more and more efficient with improvements in insulation and weather stripping, buildings become more airtight, and consequently less well ventilated. Since all buildings require a source of fresh air, the need for a Heat Recovery Ventilation system becomes more obvious.
Benefits of Heat Recovery Ventilation
- Health – Constant supply of fresh air with higher comfort levels for your home. Air quality within the house is significantly increased which is of benefit to all occupants especially Asthma & Hay Fever sufferers.
- Condensation Control – Continuous extraction from wet rooms leading to a condensation free environment.
- Economy – Reduces home heating bills.
- Comfort – Closed windows and draught free ventilation.
